The Town of Florence was founded in 1866 and is the sixth-oldest non-Native American settlement in the state of Arizona. Florence is the county seat of Pinal County and is situated in the central portion of Arizona, about 45 minutes away from both the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas.
